Pricing
What an assessment costs, and why
Most wildfire assessment pricing is a number with no explanation behind it. We show you the whole calculation before you book, the same way a ride shows its fare.
Four things set your price
- Your specialist's hourly rate
- Every specialist sets their own rate, starting at $125 per hour and capped at $250. Their rate is shown on their profile before you choose them. We do not set it, and we do not take a cut of it.
- Time on your property
- About an hour walking the property with you and documenting conditions, plus roughly fifteen minutes preparing your report. More structures on the parcel means more time.
- Travel to reach you
- Round trip drive time at the same hourly rate, plus $0.70 per mile for vehicle cost. A home forty minutes up a mountain road genuinely costs more to reach than one in town, and pretending otherwise is how assessors end up working for free. Neighbors who book together share the trip and each pay less.
- The assessment tool
- A flat $69 for the ClearScan report engine, passed through at cost. It is the same fee whether your report finds ten problems or none, so nothing about our pricing rewards finding more work.
What we never charge
- No commission on the repair work your report recommends.
- No referral fee from contractors who bid on it.
- No charge for the ClearScan satellite review, ever.
Your specialist is paid the same amount whether your home needs everything or nothing. That is what makes the findings worth trusting.
